You're the proud owner of a wine cellar, but you're wondering how to maintain it so you can enjoy it for as long as possible! Here's our advice:

Change the filter:

Does your cellar have an activated carbon filter? When was the last time you changed it? The activated carbon filter guarantees internal air renewal and helps prevent the formation of mold and unpleasant odors. To maintain its efficiency, change your activated carbon filter every year.

Check the condition of your wine cellar:

Make sure your wine cellar is in good general condition, as this will also help maintain its energy efficiency. Periodically check the door seals and make sure they are still closing effectively. If this is not the case, contact your after-sales service.

Perhaps you've moved it since you bought it? If it's a free-standing cellar, make sure there's a minimum distance between the cellar walls and surrounding walls, worktops or objects. This space ensures good ventilation and prevents your cellar from overheating or aging prematurely.

Spring cleaning:

Regularly clean the inside and outside of your wine cellar. For a major spring clean, remember to switch off your cellar, while for an occasional wipe down, take a cloth and wipe away the dust.

Your cellar can be cleaned with a mixture of lukewarm water and mild detergent. Rinse with clean water and allow to dry completely before reconnecting. Do not use solvents or abrasives.

Wash the plastic coating on steel shelves with a mild detergent solution, then dry with a soft, dry cloth. Wooden shelves require no special maintenance.

If you've chosen a model with a glass door, use a suitable product to clean the wall.
